Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and often performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 which led to a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to enter the show industry. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first major performance in 1964 on the tv spot for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later, she starred for another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twin daughters in The Brady Bunch TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on the set of the series during its fifth season to Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19, at the time. It would have happened she said but the timing was never right for us.
